Dr Angela Marsiglio

I am an adult and Paediatric Anaesthetist based in Melbourne. I completed my medical degree at the University of Melbourne and my Anaesthesia training through the Northwestern training scheme in Melbourne. I completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2016 and stayed on as a Specialist Paediatric Anaesthetist for two years. I subsequently worked as a Paediatric Anaesthetist at the Benioff Children’s Hospital, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) from 2019 until I moved back to Melbourne late 2022.

I currently work at the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Cabrini, Epworth, Northern Private, Wyndham Clinic and St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

My academic area of interest is Bioethics and I completed a Masters of Bioethics at Monash University, as well as a Fellowship in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School. I was the Topic Champion of Bioethics at the UCSF School of Medicine between 2019-2022. I currently hold committee roles in both the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and the Society for Paediatric Anaesthesia in New Zealand and Australia (SPANZA).

I have a particular interest in caring for patients with neurodiversity and anxiety. I will work together with you to develop an anaesthesia plan that is tailored to your needs and ensures comfort and safety.
